Dr. Huzur Saran

Prof. Huzur Saran, a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the IIT, Delhi and a Ph. D in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, California has been a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the IIT, Delhi since August 1990 and presently holds the position of Professor.

Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Head, Amar Nath & Shashi Khosla School of Information Technology which is a leading tele-medicine initiative in India.

He has been actively pursuing research in the areas of Systems Security and Algorithms, Wireless and High Speed Networking and has numerous papers in International Journals and Conferences to his Credit. Since 2004, Dr Saran has been a consultant to Solidcore Inc., a leading Software Security startup.  During 2000-2002 he was Visiting Professor at the Information Systems Lab, Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University and at IOSPAN Wireless -- a pioneer in MIMO-OFDM based 4G wireless systems. Prof Saran has also been a leading advocate of 4G broadband and currently heads the WIMAX Forum Applications lab at IIT Delhi, one of the only three labs worldwide. During 1993-1999, Dr Saran actively consulted with Bell labs and carried out joint research in the field of Wireless Quality of Service and Performance modeling and was regularly invited to spend the summer at Bell Labs and AT&T Research.

Dr. Saran has helped Healthji immensely in architecting the search algorithms that have been used in our Portal and continues to provide inputs on standards and strategy for Wireless Telecommunication and Tele Medicine.
